Antonio Conte has asked the Chelsea canteen staff to remove fizzy drinks and sauces from the club’s base.
According to the Times, when the players return to the club’s training ground for the first time since their pre-season tour on Thursday they will be greeted to the news.
The Blues’ players have been treated to pizzas after matches in the past but Conte has already eradicated that tradition to add to the list of banned foods.
A report reads;
“Conte has also made a big change regarding their pre-match meals.”
The previous preference for carbohydrates just hours before kick-off has been scrapped for proteins to avoid the possibility of feeling bloated later on in the day.
In order to keep the fitness of his squad, Conte has held double and even triple training sessions regularly.
